Welcome to StatsforMedics!

Undergraduate medical students frequently feel daunted by the prospect of learning statistics, often due to a lack of prior learning. If you fall into this category, congratulations in moving beyond your comfort zone; either way, I trust that you will find content of relevance to your learning needs.

Statistics offers highly effective tools for presenting research findings meaningfully and soundly. However, statistical learning for your own research requires careful planning. Bolting statistics on at the end as an afterthought is a recipe for unsound research practice and is likely to undermine the credibility of your results. I have designed StatsforMedics to encourage you to engage with progressive stages of self-directed learning in advance of and throughout your research project.
