Introduction to FAQs

This page represents the main contents page for the statistics knowledge base. All main topics covered by statistics frequently asked questions (‘FAQs’) may be accessed via this page. The FAQs themselves have been derived over many years based on a working understanding of the types of questions undergraduate medical students need to ask in order to make progress with their short research projects. Typically, due to a lack of prior training in statistics, undergraduate medical students don’t have these questions at their fingertips, as they don’t know what they need to know! However, these questions and the corresponding solutions ought to steer you in the right direction in thinking statistically and arriving at the answers you need to drive your research forward.

Having said this, please don’t dive in at the deep end. Check in the first instance  that you are familiar with any relevant content under the top menu Essential Prior Learning.
